Michael D. Casey
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Michael D. Casey joined us in 1993 as Vice President-Finance and was named Senior Vice President-Finance in 1997. In 1998, Mr. Casey was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In March 2003, Mr. Casey was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In August 2008, Mr. Casey was named Chief Executive Officer and became Chairman of the Board in September 2009. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Casey was a Senior Manager with Price Waterhouse LLP, predecessor firm to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Lisa A. Fitzgerald
Executive Vice President and Brand Leader of OshKosh B’gosh
Lisa A. Fitzgerald joined us in January 2010 as Executive Vice President and Brand Leader for OshKosh B’gosh. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Fitzgerald was with Lands’ End having served most recently as Executive Vice President of Merchandising, Design and Creative, and as Interim President in 2008. Prior to Lands’ End, Ms. Fitzgerald worked for Gymboree as Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Baby.
Brendan M. Gibbons
Senior Vice President of Legal & Corporate Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary
Brendan M. Gibbons joined us in 2004 as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In 2008, Mr. Gibbons’ role was expanded to include the Company’s corporate compliance department and in 2009, its social compliance and consumer relations departments. Mr. Gibbons joined us from Ropes & Gray LLP where, among other things, he counseled private and public companies, including Carter’s, on governance, compliance, and general corporate and securities matters.
Brian J. Lynch
Executive Vice President & Brand Leader of Carter’s
Brian J. Lynch joined us in 2005 as Vice President of Baby. In 2007, his role was expanded to take on responsibility for the Sleepwear division. Brian became Senior Vice President in 2008, assuming responsibility for the Playwear division as well as for Carter’s brand marketing. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lynch was with The Walt Disney Company for nine years in various merchandising, brand management and strategy roles in the Disney Parks & Resorts division. Prior to Disney, Mr. Lynch worked for Champion Products, a division of Sara Lee Corporation.
James Petty
President Retail Stores
James Petty joined us in 2007 as President of Retail Stores. Prior to joining us, Mr. Petty was President and Chief Executive Officer for Pure Beauty. Mr. Petty was with Limited Too for 7 years and in 2003 was promoted to President. Mr. Petty spent 15 years with GAP earlier in his career.
Richard F. Westenberger
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Richard F. Westenberger joined us in 2009 as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Westenberger joined the Company from Hewitt Associates, Inc., where he served as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Treasurer. Prior to Hewitt, Mr. Westenberger was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Land’s End, Inc., a specialty apparel division of Sears Holdings Corporation. During his 10 years at Sears, Mr. Westenberger held various other senior financial management positions, including Vice President of Corporate Planning and Analysis and Vice President of Investor Relations. Prior to Sears, Mr. Westenberger was with Kraft Foods, Inc. He began his career at Price Waterhouse LLP, predecessor firm to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and is a certified public accountant.
Charles E. Whetzel, Jr.
Executive Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer
Charles E. Whetzel, Jr. joined us in 1992 as Executive Vice President-Operations and was named Executive Vice President-Manufacturing in 1997. In 2000, Mr. Whetzel's title became Executive Vice President-Global Sourcing and in 2005 he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Sourcing Officer, consistent with our focus on global sourcing capabilities. Mr. Whetzel began his career at Aileen, Inc. in 1971 in the Quality function and was later promoted to Vice President of Apparel. Following Aileen, Inc., Mr. Whetzel held positions of increased responsibility with Health-Tex, Inc., Mast Industries, Inc., and Wellmade Industries, Inc. In 1988, Mr. Whetzel joined Bassett-Walker, Inc. and was later promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing for The HD Lee Company, Inc.
Jill Wilson
Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Development
Jill Wilson joined us in 2009 as Vice President of Human Resources. In 2010, Ms. Wilson was named Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Development. Ms. Wilson joined the Company after more than 17 years with The May Company and Macy’s. While at Macy’s, Ms. Wilson held various Human Resources positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Organizational Development and Divisional Vice President of Human Resources. Ms. Wilson has extensive experience in a broad range of HR disciplines, including talent management, organizational development, compensation and talent acquisition.
