Thomas H. Stoner, Jr. Chief Executive Officer CEO, Evergreen Energy Inc.; Former president and CEO of Econergy International PLC; economist, financial analyst, technical advisory in more than a dozen countries; former president and CEO of EUA Highland Corporation. Mr. Stoner was named president, CEO and a member of Evergreen Energy's Board of Directors on June 24, 2009. He was chief executive officer of Econergy International PLC from 1998 to October 2008 and chairman of the company’s independent directors in 2008. He was chairman of the board from 1996 to 2006. Stoner successfully led Econergy from a small consulting service to a world-class renewable energy company operating as a power producer throughout the Americas. He has served as a technical advisor in more than a dozen countries. In February, 2006 Econergy went public on the London Stock Exchange AIM. In June, 2008 Suez South America, a wholly owned subsidiary of the GDF SUEZ Group, announced its offer to buy Econergy International. Before Econergy’s 2006 IPO, it was one of the pioneers in the burgeoning carbon trading markets, and developed the first methodology submitted to the governing body of the clean development mechanism (CDM), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). At the end of 2006 Econergy was the world’s leading developer of CDM projects.Stoner is an economist and financial analyst. He is former president and CEO of EUA Highland Corporation and vice president of EUA Cogenex, both subsidiaries of Eastern Utilities, a Boston-based utility holding company traded on the NYSE. Stoner studied economics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and Harvard University, and holds a master of science degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelor of arts from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. Miles Mahoney President & COO Prior to joining Evergreen Energy Inc. in April 2009, Mr. Mahoney served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Alliances and Channels at SAS Institute, Inc. the world's largest privately-held software company. While at SAS, Mr. Mahoney was responsible for the Global operations and implementation of their strategic alliance program with Global Systems Integrators, Global ISV's, OEM partners, Service Providers, and Channel/Value-Added Resellers in the United States, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific/Japan, Latin America and Canada. Prior to SAS Institute, Mr. Mahoney was Vice President of Strategic System Integrators at Crystal Decisions. The company grew from $116m to over $300m in 3 years and was sold to Business Objects, resulting in the largest Business Intelligence player in the market.
William G. Laughlin Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Mr. Laughlin, Evergreen Energy ’s first General Counsel, possesses a 30-plus year legal background in the energy sector, having served in senior roles with El Paso/Coastal, Ladd Petroleum, Phillips Petroleum, and Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP. Mr. Laughlin began his career in the 1970s with Phillips Petroleum. During the late 1970s through the 1980s, Mr. Laughlin was associated with Ladd Petroleum Corporation, General Electric Company’s energy subsidiary, where he was Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. While at Coastal/El Paso, in addition to managing a large law department, Mr. Laughlin was the lead attorney for numerous acquisitions of oil and gas properties and, during 2002-2003, the lead attorney for over $2 billion of divestitures of various properties throughout the United States and Canada. Most recently, during his tenure at Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP, Mr. Laughlin provided advice and counsel to various public and private companies on a wide variety of legal matters pertaining to exploration, production, transportation, marketing, processing and state and federal regulations. Diana L. Kubik Vice President, Chief Financial Officer Ms. Kubik joins Evergreen Energy as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President. Prior to her appointment at Evergreen Energy, Ms. Kubik was Practice Director at 2 Degrees Consulting from November 2004 to March 2006, where she specialized in providing Securities Exchange Commission and technical accounting services. From September 2002 through August 2004, Ms. Kubik worked for Qwest Communications International Inc. as a Senior Director of Finance. From February 1999 through June 2002, she was employed by Verado Holdings, Inc. as Controller. Jimmac G. Lofton Vice President, Corporate Development Kevin E. Milliman Vice President of Engineering Kevin Milliman has more than 18 years of chemical engineering and project management experience in the manufacturing and consulting areas, and served most recently as a senior engineer at O&G Environmental Consulting where his technical responsibilities included developing permit applications, plans and reports associated with oil and gas facilities. He managed task planning and execution, project controls, subcontractors, clients and communications for multiple environmental engineering and permitting projects. Milliman holds a master's degree in science, technology and public policy from George Washington University and a bachelor's of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester. |
