Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Hunt Valley, MD, Gamers Factory, Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Game Trading Technologies, Inc. (“GTTI” or the “Company”) a publicly-traded company (OTCBB: GMTD) and is a leading game trading services provider focused on the procurement, refurbishment and redistribution of pre-owned video games.
The Company currently supplies unique services, supported by innovative technologies to an array of retail customers, allowing them to better serve their customers with a primary focus on monetizing their video game collections. The foundation of most of these relationships is GTTI’s proprietary game trading database, which updates values on more than 10,000 video games and consoles on a daily basis according to market conditions. Consumers who shop at the Company’s customer locations have the ability at any given time to trade in a single game or console, or an entire collection. In exchange, they receive store credit in the form of a gift card that can be used to purchase anything the retailer sells. The unique advantage that Gamers offers in conjunction with the trade values is a guaranteed purchase of those items as a pass-through directly from the retailer.
GTTI sells pre-owned video games, consoles and accessories through various channels including retail, online and bulk auction. Depending on the customer, The Company will sell untouched “as-is” product requiring inspection and/or refurbishment or completely refurbished games considered to be “like new” and ready to play. Selling of pre-owned games not only provides a solid value to the consumer, but also results in environmental advantages as the extension of lives of these items leads to lower overall disposal volumes within landfills.
In order to maximize the value proposition, GTTI continues to develop a collection of relationships such as vendors, customers and recyclers or, in some cases, all three. Currently, we have relationships with major retail customers including GameStop, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, GameFly, Target, Toys ‘R’ Us, Blockbuster, 7-Eleven, eBay, Costco and MicroCenter. Vendor and recycling relationships include COKeM International Ltd., GENCO, Dealtree, Gazelle and NORAM.
As the pre-owned video game industry matures, there is an inherent need to facilitate the structured movement of games, accessories and consoles from owners who no longer want these valuable items to buyers who are searching for high quality pre-owned products that are fairly priced. Game Trading Technologies, Inc. aims to fulfill this need in the market by creating the ultimate outlet for consumers to exchange these items, turning them into currency that can be used to purchase other goods.
